Nine slimeballs
Kill slimes in swamps at night, or in slime chunks underground, until nine balls drop. A panda can sneeze one. A sticky piston also uses one slimeball on a piston; this craft wants a full table of nine.
Fill the whole grid
Open the Crafting Table. Put a slimeball in every square of the 3×3. One slime block appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold nine items.
Bounce, or pull the piston
Land on it from a height and you bounce instead of taking the fall. A piston can push the block, and a sticky piston can pull it. One slime block in the inventory 2×2 also breaks back into nine slimeballs. Place it with a click; no tool is required to break it.
