How to Craft an Armor Stand in Minecraft
To craft an armor stand in Minecraft you need six sticks and one Smooth Stone Slab. On the Crafting Table the sticks make a person shape and the slab sits where the feet go. Below are the items, the recipe, and how to get the slab.

How to craft these materials

Sticks come from two Wooden Planks stacked in the inventory 2×2; one pair already gives four sticks, so two pairs cover the six you need. The slab is the picky piece: smelt cobblestone into stone, smelt that stone into smooth stone, then lay three smooth stone in a row on the table to cut slabs. A regular stone slab in the same slot will not complete this recipe.
How to assemble it
Open the Crafting Table. Fill the whole top row with sticks. Put one stick in the center square. Put sticks in the bottom-left and bottom-right, and drop the Smooth Stone Slab in the bottom-middle. The stand appears on the right; place it on the ground.
Dressing the stand
Use a helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, or a carved pumpkin on the stand and it wears the piece. Hit it twice to break it and pick the stand back up with whatever it was wearing.
