How to Craft Bone Meal in Minecraft
To craft bone meal in Minecraft you need one bone. Put that bone in any square of the inventory 2×2 or the Crafting Table, and three bone meal come out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where that bone comes from.

One bone, three meal
Kill a skeleton or a wither skeleton until a bone drops. Keep one. You do not need a Crafting Table for this, though the table still works.
Any square
Open the inventory 2×2. Put the bone in any of the four squares and leave the rest empty. Three bone meal appear on the right; take them. The same shapeless recipe works on a Crafting Table.
Grow the crop now
Use it on wheat, saplings, or grass. Wheat used for bread finishes faster. Bone meal on grass also scatters flowers you can pick. Composters take bone meal too. The meal stacks to 64.
