How to Craft a Door in Minecraft
To craft a door in Minecraft you need six wooden planks of the same wood. On the Crafting Table fill two columns of three — oak is the usual first door — and you get three doors at once. Below are the items, the recipe, and where the planks come from.

How to craft these materials
Wooden Planks

Six oak planks
Punch or axe an oak log and convert it in the inventory 2×2: one log is four planks. You need six, so break a second log. Keep the six planks the same wood; oak is what you get from the first tree in most worlds.
Two columns of three
Open the Crafting Table. Put planks in the left and middle squares of every row, and leave the right column empty. Three oak doors appear on the right; take all three. You can slide the same 2×3 block to the right column instead.
Stand it on a solid floor
Aim at a solid block with air above it and place the door; it occupies two blocks of height. Use it to open and close. A second door beside the first lines up as a double door if you place it against the handle side.
