How to Craft a Note Block in Minecraft
To craft a note block in Minecraft you need eight wooden planks and one redstone dust. On the Crafting Table fill every square with planks and put the dust in the exact center, and one note block comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Eight planks, one dust
Punch a log and convert it in the inventory 2×2: two logs are eight planks, any wood type. Mine redstone ore with an iron pickaxe or better; one dust goes in the middle. That covers the whole note block.
Dust in the middle
Open the Crafting Table. Drop the redstone dust in the very center, then planks in the other eight squares. One note block appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this 3×3.
Hit it, leave air above
Place the block with an empty square on top. Hit it or feed it a redstone pulse to play a note. Use the block to raise the pitch. An axe breaks it fastest. Note blocks stack to sixty-four.
