How to Craft a Beacon in Minecraft
To craft a beacon in Minecraft you need five glass, one nether star, and three obsidian. On the Crafting Table wrap glass around the star and line the bottom with obsidian, and one beacon comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

How to craft these materials
Five glass, a star, three obsidian
Smelt five sand in a furnace for the glass. The nether star drops when you kill the Wither. Obsidian forms where water meets lava; a diamond pickaxe is the tool that actually picks the block up. You need three for the bottom row.

Open the Crafting Table. Top row: three glass. Middle: glass, nether star, glass. Bottom: three obsidian. One beacon appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this 3×3.
Pyramid under the beam
Place the beacon, then build a pyramid of iron, gold, emerald, diamond or netherite blocks underneath. One layer is a 3×3, and you can add up to four layers. Open the beacon, feed it an ingot, gem or netherite ingot, and pick a status effect. The beam needs a clear path to the sky. A pickaxe breaks the beacon.
