Milk, sugar, egg, wheat
Three empty buckets plus a cow fill with milk — a goat or a mooshroom works too, and there is no cooldown, so one animal is enough. One sugar cane in any crafting square is one sugar; you need two. Chickens leave eggs on the grass. Break tall grass for seeds, plant them on farmland, and harvest three wheat.
Milk on top, wheat below
Open the Crafting Table. Three milk buckets on the top row. Sugar, egg, sugar in the middle row. Three wheat on the bottom. One cake appears on the right; take it. The empty buckets come back. A blue or brown egg works the same as a white one.
Place it to eat
The cake is not a snack from the hotbar. Place it on a solid block, then use it to take slices — seven bites in total. Break a placed cake and it drops nothing. A farmer villager at expert rank can sell one if you would rather trade.
