How to craft these materials
Wooden Planks
Oak Log
Wooden Planks ×4Shapeless: the slots can sit anywhere on the grid.
Four planks, two sticks
Punch an oak log and convert it in the inventory 2×2: one log is four planks, and those four cover the rails. Two more planks stacked make four sticks; take two. Keep the four planks the same wood — oak is the first tree in most worlds.
Two rows on the table
Open the Crafting Table. On the top row put a plank, a stick and a plank. Repeat that exact line on the middle row. Three oak fences appear on the right; take them. This shape needs the 3×3 table.
A line that holds a mob
Place them in a row and they snap to each other. The collision is a block and a half, so a cow or a zombie stays inside. Use a lead on a post to park a horse. Break a fence with an axe to pick it back up; they stack to sixty-four.
