How to Craft a Fence Gate in Minecraft
To craft a fence gate in Minecraft you need two wooden planks of the same wood and four sticks. On the Crafting Table put stick, plank, stick on the top row and the same on the row under it, and one oak fence gate comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Wooden Planks

Two planks, four sticks
Punch an oak log and convert it in the inventory 2×2: one log is four planks. Two of those go into the gate. Stack the other two for four sticks. Keep the two planks the same wood — oak is the first tree in most worlds.
Two rows on the table
Open the Crafting Table. On the top row put a stick, a plank and a stick. Repeat that exact line on the middle row. One oak fence gate appears on the right; take it. This shape needs the 3×3 table.
A swing in the fence line
Place it in a fence line and use it to open. Closed, the collision is a block and a half, so a cow or a zombie stays inside. Break it with an axe to pick it back up.
