Spiders and cave spiders drop a spider eye. Brown mushrooms grow in dark oak shade, swamps and the Nether. One sugar cane in any crafting square becomes one sugar. That is the whole trio.
Any order in the 2×2
Open the inventory. Put the spider eye, the brown mushroom and the sugar in any three crafting squares. One fermented spider eye appears on the right; take it. The same three work on a Crafting Table.
Invert a brew
Slot it in a brewing stand as the ingredient after a base potion. Several effects flip: swiftness becomes slowness, healing becomes harming. The fermented eye stacks to sixty-four.
