Wooden Planks
Wooden Slab ×6Four slabs, one bookshelf
Three matching planks in a row on the table make six wooden slabs; this recipe uses four oak slabs. Craft a bookshelf from six planks and three books if you still need the middle piece. That covers the whole lectern.
Three slabs on top
Open the Crafting Table. Top row: three wooden slabs. Middle: empty, bookshelf, empty. Bottom: empty, wooden slab, empty. One lectern appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this height.
Open the book on the stand
Place it, then use a written book or a book and quill on the lectern to set the pages. Other players can read it there. Use the lectern to turn the page. An axe breaks it fastest. Librarians in villages already keep one.
