How to Craft a Mace in Minecraft

To craft a mace in Minecraft you need one heavy core and one breeze rod. Put the core in a square and the rod directly under it in the inventory 2×2 or on a Crafting Table, and one mace comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Core and a rod

Find a Trial Chamber underground. Kill a Breeze there: it drops one or two breeze rods. Open an Ominous Vault in the same structure with an ominous trial key; that vault has a 7.5% chance to drop a heavy core. That covers the whole mace.

Core on top

Open your inventory or a Crafting Table. Drop the heavy core in a square and the breeze rod in the square right under it. One mace appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 holds this column.

Smash on the way down

Equip it. Fall more than a block and a half, then hit a mob: the smash hits harder and that fall does not hurt you. Maces do not stack.
