How to Craft a Trapped Chest in Minecraft
To craft a trapped chest in Minecraft you need one chest and one tripwire hook. Drop both in the inventory 2×2 in any order, and one trapped chest comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Iron Ingot

Craft a chest from eight planks around an empty center if you still lack one. A tripwire hook is iron, stick and a plank in a column; two hooks come out, and this recipe uses one.
Any two squares
Open the inventory. Put the chest in one crafting square and the tripwire hook in another. One trapped chest appears on the right; take it. The same pair works on a Crafting Table.
Opens, and powers the block
Place it like a chest. The latch looks different so you can tell it from a normal chest. Opening it sends a redstone pulse into the block it sits on. Two trapped chests side by side still join into a double. An axe breaks it.
