How to Craft a Tripwire Hook in Minecraft
To craft tripwire hooks in Minecraft you need one iron ingot, one stick, and one wooden plank. On the Crafting Table put iron, stick, plank in a column, and two hooks come out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Iron, stick, plank
Mine iron ore with a stone pickaxe or better and smelt one ingot. Two planks stacked in the inventory 2×2 make four sticks; keep one, and keep one matching plank. That covers both hooks.
A column of three
Open the Crafting Table. Iron ingot in the top-middle square, stick in the center, plank in the bottom-middle. Two tripwire hooks appear on the right; take them. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this height.
String between two hooks
Place a hook on each of two facing blocks, then string from one to the other. An entity that walks the string powers both hooks, enough to fire a repeater or a dispenser. Jungle temples already hide this line. Hooks stack to sixty-four.
