How to Craft a Copper Bulb in Minecraft

To craft a copper bulb in Minecraft you need three copper blocks, one blaze rod, and one redstone dust. On the Crafting Table put copper in a plus around the blaze rod, with redstone under that rod, and four copper bulbs come out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Three copper blocks, a rod, redstone

Mine copper ore with a stone pickaxe and smelt the raw copper in a furnace until you have twenty-seven ingots. Nine ingots fill the Crafting Table and become one copper block; repeat until you have three. Kill a blaze in a Nether fortress for one rod. Keep one redstone dust. A lightning rod uses copper ingots, not the block.

Blocks around the rod, dust under it

Open the Crafting Table. Top: empty, copper block, empty. Middle: copper block, blaze rod, copper block. Bottom: empty, redstone, empty. Four copper bulbs appear on the right; take them. This plus needs the 3×3 table.

A pulse toggles the light

Place it. A redstone pulse turns the bulb on or off and it stays that way until the next pulse. A redstone lamp stays lit only while it is powered; this one remembers. A stone pickaxe or better breaks the bulb. The copper oxidizes on the block the same way other copper does.
