How to Craft a Hanging Sign in Minecraft
To craft a hanging sign in Minecraft you need two chains and six stripped oak logs. On the Crafting Table put chains in the top corners and logs in the two rows under them, and six hanging signs come out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

How to craft these materials
Two chains, six stripped logs
Use an axe on an oak log to strip the bark; six stripped logs fill the lower two rows. Craft two chains from iron nuggets and an iron ingot, or keep two if you already made a stack. Oak is the wood this recipe uses.
Chains in the top corners
Open the Crafting Table. Top row: chain, empty, chain. Middle: three stripped oak logs. Bottom: three stripped oak logs. Six hanging signs appear on the right; take them. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this 3×3.
Under a block, or on the side
Place it under a ceiling or on the side of a wall. Edit the text the same way you edit a standing sign. An axe still breaks it fastest. Hanging signs stack to sixteen.
