How to Craft an Item Frame in Minecraft
To craft an item frame in Minecraft you need eight sticks and one leather. On the Crafting Table fill every square with sticks and put the leather in the exact center, and one item frame comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

How to craft these materials
Eight sticks, one leather
Four planks stacked as two pairs in the inventory 2×2 make eight sticks. Kill a cow, a horse, a llama, or a hoglin for the leather in the middle. That covers the whole frame.
Leather in the middle
Open the Crafting Table. Drop the leather in the very center, then sticks in the other eight squares. One item frame appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this ring.
Hang the item on the wall
Place the frame on a block face, then use an item on it. Use the frame again to rotate what is showing. A painting covers a bigger wall; this one holds a tool or a map. Break the frame and both the frame and the item drop.
