How to Craft a Spyglass in Minecraft
To craft a spyglass in Minecraft you need one amethyst shard and two copper ingots. On the Crafting Table put the shard on top and stack the two ingots under it in a column, and one spyglass comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

One shard, two copper ingots
Amethyst geodes hide in the deepslate. Break a fully grown amethyst cluster with any pickaxe for shards; keep one. Mine copper ore with a stone pickaxe, then smelt the raw copper in a furnace until two ingots come out.
A column down the middle
Open the Crafting Table. Top-middle: the amethyst shard. Middle-center: a copper ingot. Bottom-middle: the second ingot. Leave the six side squares empty. One spyglass appears on the right; take it. This column needs the 3×3 table.
Zoom on a distant block
Use it and the view pulls in on whatever you are looking at. Movement slows while the tube is up. A lantern still lights the cave around you; the spyglass only changes how far you see. Put it away to walk at full speed. Keep a map in the hotbar if you still need the surface layout after you lower the tube.
