How to Craft a Campfire in Minecraft
To craft a campfire in Minecraft you need three sticks, one coal, and three logs. On the Crafting Table put a stick on top, two more sticks around the coal, and three logs along the bottom, and one campfire comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.
| Item | Qty | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Put two Wooden Planks in a vertical pair in the inventory grid. One pair makes four sticks. This ingredient is crafted too — station below. | |
| 1 | Break coal ore with any pickaxe. One ore drops coal. | |
| 3 | Punch or axe an oak tree. Any overworld log type also converts to its matching planks. |

How to craft these materials
Three sticks, one coal, three logs
Punch logs: three oak logs sit on the bottom row. Convert two planks in the inventory 2×2 for sticks; keep three. Mine coal ore with a wooden pickaxe or smelt a log into charcoal; one lump goes in the center.
Sticks around the coal
Open the Crafting Table. Top-middle: a stick. Middle row: stick, coal, stick. Bottom: three logs. One campfire appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this 3×3.
Cook without extra fuel
Place it. Drop raw food on top and it cooks, four pieces at a time, with no extra coal in a slot. A furnace still handles ore. The campfire lights the area and puts a signal column in the sky. An axe breaks it fastest.
