Stone Slab ×6Wooden Planks
Oak Log
Wooden Planks ×4Shapeless: the slots can sit anywhere on the grid.
Two sticks, a slab, two planks
Stack two sticks from a pair of planks in the inventory 2×2, then keep two. Three stone in a row on the table make six stone slabs; this recipe uses one. Two matching planks sit on the sides. Punch a log if the wood pile is short.
Stick, slab, stick
Open the Crafting Table. Top row: stick, stone slab, stick. Middle row: plank, empty, plank. The bottom stays empty. One grindstone appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this width.
Two slots, some XP back
Place it. Drop two damaged copies of the same tool to merge durability, or one enchanted piece to strip the extra enchantments. Curses stay on the item. Some experience comes back. A pickaxe breaks the block. Armorers in villages already keep one.
