How to Craft a Harness in Minecraft

To craft a harness in Minecraft you need three leather, two glass, and one wool. On the Crafting Table lay leather across the top and put glass, wool, glass in the middle row, and one harness comes out. Below are the items, the recipe, and where those pieces come from.

Shapeless: the slots can sit anywhere on the grid.

Three leather, two glass, wool

Cows drop leather; three hides fill the top row. Smelt two sand for the glass. Shear a sheep for white wool, or use any color: the wool sets the harness color. Four string also craft one white wool if the pasture is empty.

Leather across the top

Open the Crafting Table. Top row: three leather. Middle: glass, wool, glass. Leave the bottom row empty. One harness appears on the right; take it. The 2×2 inventory cannot hold this width.

On a happy ghast

Use the harness on a happy ghast to put it on. Up to four players can ride that mob at once. A dried ghast soaked in water grows into one. Shears take the harness back off. A dispenser can equip it too. Harnesses do not stack.
